As a queer woman of color, I never felt like I had to explain my identity or experiences. Ishana just got it, which made therapy a space where I could finally focus on my healing.
D.W. (Individual Therapy) Pakistan -
Every session felt like a safe space for both of us. Ishana gave us tools to navigate challenges with empathy and understanding, and for the first time, we felt like a true team.
M.M. & L.M. (Couples Therapy) USA -
I came in nervous and left feeling empowered. Ishana’s ability to foster community and guide us through meaningful discussions made the workshop feel like a collective healing journey.
F.H. (Workshop) Belgium -
Therapy with Ishana feels like finally finding the user manual for my brain - and it turns out, it’s a pretty great read! Therapy feels like a judgment-free zone with fun, clarity and feelings.
G.V. (Individual Therapy) Greece -
Therapy with Ishana feels like couples bootcamp - except with lots of empathy and no yelling. 10/10, would recommend.
E.B. & J.S. (Couples Therapy) Italy & Bhutan -
I signed up thinking it’d be serious and heavy, but Ishana made it feel like the most supportive hangout ever. Bonus: I left with real tools to work on myself.

About Me
I’m Italian, Indian and British. I grew up in Dubai and have been living in the Netherlands for nearly the last decade.
It’s safe to say that I grew up with a lot of cultural/identity confusion. I made peace with it by allowing myself to appreciate the cultural nuances of the worlds I lived in. In all honesty, it’s in this world of interpersonal nuance that I thrive. This is what draws me to therapy – honouring the complexity of being human.
A little more about my background…
- I grew up as a queer person in the Middle East, raised by a strong single mother in an interracial household
- Fun fact: all the major religions are covered when combining my very ‘modern’ family
- As a kid: I was bright-eyed, quirky, passionate & very curious (some things never change)
My Personal Healing Journey
I’ve put in the hard work in unlearning my shame, and reclaiming my life, by addressing intergenerational cycles of trauma – manifesting in addiction (I’m a 12-step member), emotional suppression, eating disorders, and much more.
It has been the most liberating thing I have done for myself. Partnering up with clients and accompanying them on their own healing journey, is a such a privilege for me. I really love my profession, and that it is so marked by witnessing and supporting resilience.
My Professional Journey
As a psychologist, I bring my own experiences of pain and resilience to empathise authentically with each client. Therapy is a healing journey that we embark on together. Every client I work with is their own universe, yet universally I deeply connect with every client.
I think the world needs more care – for us to listen and create space for one another. I realised early on that the change I wanted to see in the world begins one person at a time. That’s why I am a psychologist – individual healing for collective wellbeing.
