Supervision

Supervision is where you bring in tangled cases, and leave with more clarity, tools and confidence in your own clinical voice

A Supportive Space to Grow as a Psychologist

Individual and group supervision for psychologists at The Circle Clinic in Leiden, in-person or online

What Is Our Integrative Supervision Approach?

Supervision is with Ishana (she/they), psychologist (NIP) and founder of The Circle Clinic, with over half a decade of clinical experience.

Supervision with us is integrative and intersectional. We untangle your trickiest cases together: getting curious about what they stir in you, exploring them through different lenses and finding what you need to leave more confident (be it practical or personal). At the heart of it, we make space for the human in the therapist – you.

Why Choose Supervision?

The first years after graduating can feel lonely and scary. You’re suddenly holding real people’s pain, worried about doing a “bad job” and maybe feeling quite critical of yourself. All whilst handling the admin of running a practice, feeling anxiety about finances, and keeping up with paperwork. It’s a lot! We get it.

At The Circle Clinic, supervision is a warm, honest space to slow down, make sense of your cases and of yourself as a therapist. Supervision can be a place you feel supported, a safe harbour to come back to whenever you need.

How Supervision Works

You’re ready for a space to think out loud about your cases, your growth and the parts of the work that feel heavy. So then you send us a message through the contact form or by email, and tell us a little about what you’re looking for (individual, group or not sure yet).

We begin with a free 30-minute Zoom call, exploring what you’re looking for, what supervision together might look like and practical details like frequency and fees. Only if we’re on the same page, do we…

Our first structured session, in-person or online: we dive into what brings you to supervision, where you are now as a psychologist, where you’d like to grow and what support has (and hasn’t) worked for you before. Your goals set our direction.

Together, we set the frame: how often we meet, online or in Leiden, individual or group, and how we hold confidentiality. You keep clinical responsibility for your own clients – we’re here to think it through with you.

In every session, we hold a space for the client who’s on your mind, the session that went sideways or the question you’re embarrassed to ask. We reflect on the work, practise interventions together and get curious about what it stirs up in you.

Every few months, we pause and look back: what’s shifting, what’s missing and what you need from us now. We proactively ask for your feedback, so supervision keeps meeting you. And when it’s time, we wrap up well.

Supervision Fees

Good supervision shouldn’t depend on the size of your first salary. Supervision follows the same sliding scale as our therapy, so it stays within reach early in your career. All supervision fees are excl. BTW (VAT).

Individual supervision sessions are an hour (60 minutes) long. Longer sessions are charged proportionally (e.g., 1.5 hours = 1.5 x the session fee).

Monthly Income (Gross, Bruto) / € Individual Supervision Fee (per 1 hr Session, excl. BTW) / €
≤ 2,49980
2,500 – 5,499100
≥ 5,500120
If your employer pays140

Group supervision is €50 per seat (excl. BTW), per 90-minute session. It’s interactive: we bring cases, think them through together and practise interventions and tools on each other. Groups meet on Friday mornings, in a small group of psychologists, so there is room for everyone’s cases.

  • Supervision is for psychologists who have already graduated (MSc or equivalent).
  • This is supervision for your clinical growth. It is not accredited, so it does not count towards the GZ-opleiding, BIG registration or register hours.
  • You stay clinically responsible for your own clients. Cases are always discussed anonymously.
  • Not sure if it’s the right fit? Schedule a free 30-minute consultation call first.

How We Can Support You:

With a practising psychologist who remembers the early years...

1. Make Sense of Complex Cases

We build case formulations together, across different lenses, so you know where you are and where to go next

2. Practise Interventions

Try out tools and interventions in a safe space first, so they feel natural by the time you bring them into the room

3. Navigate Risk and Scope

Think through risk, suicidality, referrals and the edges of your scope of practice, so you never have to hold it alone

4. Work With What Comes Up in You

Explore your triggers, countertransference and patterns, so they become information rather than obstacles

5. Grow Your Own Clinical Voice

Find the way of working that is authentically yours, and the confidence to trust it

In supervision, we turn uncertainty into clinical confidence. Together, we co-create a space where you can bring the cases that keep you up at night, practise new ways of working and grow into the psychologist you want to be.

At The Circle Clinic, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
