About Me
I was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, where I attended a German school from kindergarten until graduating from high school (Abitur). Having grown up with both Brazilian and German cultures has brought me different points of perspective about the world and how different cultures interpret life and its journeys. Since moving to the Netherlands five years ago, I have come in contact with many more other cultures and people from diverse backgrounds – an experience I have immensely enjoyed and learned from. I value this multicultural experience greatly; in therapy we must always strive to observe and learn from others’ perspectives and attend to the challenges faced with each individual’s unique background in mind.
Despite the increasing social media posts and celebrity interviews on the topic, mental health can be a sensitive and difficult subject for many people to discuss and open up about. It is therefore important to me that therapy is a safe space to explore individual experiences and that we work together to process difficult feelings and thoughts. As no person’s journey is the same as another’s, I aim to build a connection during sessions and follow an individual-based approach to work through unique mental health journeys.
